Life Lately Vol. 6

I've made a lot of empty promises this summer. I promised three posts a week, Link Love and Life Lately on Sundays, an abundance of social media posts, and more. Instead, I've been slacking. I've been waiting until the last minute to write blog posts, and I haven't published as many as I would like to have published.

If I'm being completely honest, my lack of activity is because of my lack of interest. My heart just isn't in it sometimes, and there are several days when I don't feel like getting dressed up and taking outfit pictures, or sitting down to write a blog post. I'm trying to get better about time management, but it's hard.

With that being said, I do have some exciting posts coming up. I have a couple collaborations with brands coming up soon, and I'm traveling a lot this month. Get ready to see fun pictures and blog posts, because I can't wait to share everything with y'all!

Another big reason why I haven't been as active in the past week is because I broke my wrist playing soccer. It doesn't hurt that badly, but it definitely put a damper on my summer. I'm not supposed to swim or do much physical activity, which really restricts me from a lot of things. It's also hard to do everyday activities, too, like typing. The typing class I took last month helped me type fluently, but now I'm back to hunting and pecking on my keyboard because my left hand is currently out of commission. I hope to get my cast off in about three weeks, and it will hopefully be a lot easier to type blog posts again!

On a lighter note, my family and I went to the Dallas Farmer's Market last week. I had a lot of fun walking around and trying all of the locally grown food. We had lunch there, and I had some of the most amazing macarons ever! If you live in the Dallas area, definitely go to the Dallas Farmer's Market this summer, because it's such a fun experience and you get to try some amazing food. Even if you don't live in Dallas, see if you have a local farmer's market near you - it's tons of fun!

A couple nights ago, I went to dinner with my dad as part of a belated Father's Day celebration since he was out of town on Father's Day. It was the perfect opportunity for a mini photo session, and of course, the food was delicious too!

Lastly, I thought I'd share some pictures from my Fourth of July celebration yesterday. I decided not to do an entire post on it, since I'd already shared my outfit and I basically did the same activities as last year. Instead, I pushed this post back so I could still share some pictures. In the morning, I participated in my neighborhood's local parade, and when my family and I got back home, my mom and I baked a cute flag cake! I finished the day off by going to an FC Dallas soccer game with my dad and sister. There was an amazing fireworks show after the game, and it was the perfect way to end a really fun day!

I hope y'all had a great holiday weekend!
