Anthropologie + Nordstrom Finds

Happy Saturday! I'm popping in today with a quick roundup of my favorite Anthropologie finds at Nordstrom! I was beyond excited last week when I found out that Nordstrom will now be carrying Anthropologie's home line. I love Anthropologie for all of their gorgeous bohemian pieces - think tassels, florals, and watercolor.

My favorite thing in this roundup would have to be the pie plate, passport holder, and mug, but I love them all! What are your favorites?

Currently Vol. 9

Happy Good Friday! Today I'm popping in with another post in my most popular series, Currently, where I share what I've been loving lately.

taken during my trip to a tulip farm!

Also, since it's Good Friday, I wanted to share one of my favorite Easter Bible verses!

He will swallow up death in victory, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth, for the Lord hath spoken it. ~ Isaiah 25:8

Reading... nothing, at the moment. I have so many books I want to read but I'm in between books at the moment. Any recommendations?

Listening... I've discovered so many good songs recently! Y'all know I love country (my current favorites are Most People Are Good, Female, and Marry Me) but I'm also slowly getting into more rap music (God's Plan has been on repeat 24/7!).

Wanting... this skirt, these sunglasses, this necklace, and these heels. I also need to find an Easter dress ASAP, so wish me luck!

Buying... I finally got Vans!! I keep asking y'all on Twitter what color I should get, and I finally bought these pink ones. I also bought this swimsuit, but I wasn't in love with it when it arrived so I might return it.

Watching... This Is Us! It's such a heartwarming show, and I can't get enough of it (even though I just reached a really sad part).

Eating... allll the salad. Lately, I've been craving salad, of all things, and I eat it practically every day! I don't normally like salad, but I just pour this dressing over lettuce and sprinkle some croutons on top - sogood.

Wearing... these jeans are my favorite pair ever, and I just realized how much I wear them. I probably need to go pick up another pair or two, because they are so soft and stretchy, and at only $44, they're such a steal. They also come in a light wash.

This weekend is going to be full of fun Easter activities! Today, my mom, sisters, and I are going to try a new pizza place near us, and tomorrow we're dying eggs and going to an Easter event at Trader Joe's. We're going to church on Saturday evening, and on Sunday, we're going to walk around some botanical gardens and cook a ton of delicious Easter food! It also happens to be my dad's birthday on Sunday, too, so I'm excited to celebrate that as well.

Have a great Easter weekend!

Springtime at Texas Tulips

Top (similar here and here) // Jeans // Necklace // Tote Bag (my color is sold out) // Sandals

Last weekend, my family and I drove up to Pilot Point, Texas to visit the Texas Tulips farm. It was one of the most gorgeous sights ever - blooming tulips as far as the eye can see! It's a u-pick farm, meaning you can pick your own tulips and take them home, so it was so fun to walk around, pick tulips, and take pictures.

This top is sadly not available online, but I've linked a couple similar ones. I love this shade of blue for spring! I paired it with my favorite jeans, some simple gold jewelry, and my go-to tote bag.

I actually straightened my hair before we went, but you'd never know that by looking at these pictures, haha! It was so windy and humid - my hair was a frizzy mess by the end of the day. I kept trying to brush it and smooth it out, but sometimes you just have to say screw it and embrace your crazy hair!

Life Lately Vol. 35

Happy Friday, friends! The week after Spring Break is always a long one, but we've made it through! I have a ton of fun snapshots to share with you today, so keep reading!

(Also, I know my blogging schedule has been all kinds of sporadic lately, but I should be back to regular scheduling next week!)

Over Spring Break, the weather was really nice! It was sunny and 70 degrees most days, and I think that calls for snow cones! My mom and I went shopping in a part of town filled with tons of cute boutiques, and we treated ourselves to snow cones after we finished shopping.

Also, I got my learner's permit recently! I'm taking Driver's Ed online (here's the program I'm using if you're looking for a good one) and my dad and I went to the DMV during Spring Break to get my learner's permit. It wasn't an easy process by any means, but I'm excited to start learning how to drive.

Last weekend, my family and I went to Mockingbird Station to do a little shopping and try out a new lunch spot. We ate at the Dallas Grilled Cheese Co, and I thought it was really good! I also stopped in Urban Outfitters and tried on this skirt, but didn't purchase it... what are your thoughts?

One of my 2018 goals is to run 300 miles, so I got some new running shoes the other day! They are so much more supportive than my old Nikes, and they are so comfortable - they make running a million times better.

If you know me, you know I hate doing my hair, but my friend braided it for me the other day and I was obsessed with it! It's inspired me to start practicing hairstyles and learn how to braid hair well.

This weekend is going to be so much fun - my mom and I are going to the grand opening of our local farmer's market tomorrow, and on Sunday we're going to take some pictures at a nearby tulip farm! What's on your weekend agenda?

Swimsuits Under $50

What a week... I've dealt with so many technical difficulties when it comes to getting blog posts up, so I thought I would just pop in with a quick roundup of my favorite swimsuits of 2018. Shopping for swimsuits can be so hard, but I've picked out some that I absolutely love, and they're all under $50 (because it's so hard to find inexpensive swimwear these days!).

Also, sites like Shein and Zaful have tons of cute, cheap swimwear, but I didn't include them because I like to know that I can easily return my swimsuits if they don't fit right. However, definitely check them out, because you can't beat their prices!

Link Love Vol. 34

Happy Friday! This week has been a long one, but I'm trying to keep my chin up because next week is Spring Break, and I am so looking forward to having a much-needed week off from school.

because it's Friday and you deserve some gelato

I won't waste any time with introductions, so let's get on into the links I've been loving lately!

March Thoughts

February was a rough month for me. Overall, I felt really burned out when it came to creating any sort of content, whether that be blog posts, Instagram pictures, or YouTube videos. I took a break last week, hoping it would allow me to destress and come into March feeling productive and energized.

a quote my dad & I have been saying a lot - I felt like it applied here!!

Sadly, that was not the case. I'm entering this week feeling the same way I felt all of February - discouraged. I really try to not let the numbers and algorithms get to me and determine my worth, but it's so hard to see my follower count declining every day knowing that there's nothing I can do about it; it's just the way Instagram works now. Fran touched on this recently, and it was reassuring to know that I'm not the only one feeling this way!

This time of year is always crazy busy. My schedule is jam-packed between soccer, extracurriculars, and homework, and when you factor in my sisters' schedules, it's almost impossible for my family to have any free time. This makes it next to impossible to go take pictures, especially considering that I can't drive yet. (I did just pass my learner's permit test, though!!)

My life has been all sorts of stressful lately - my grades aren't where I want them to be, I feel a constant need to go take blog pictures, I have something after school every day, I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself to do well in soccer... the list goes on. Also, this past weekend has been all sorts of fun! The SIM card in my phone somehow got lost, stolen, or just disappeared? (I don't know how phone technology works) My glasses broke this morning, I lost my soccer cleats (but then I found them, thankfully), and my teacher put my math test grade in and it was not what I had hoped it would be.

I'm not telling you this to make excuses for why I haven't been active. I'm telling you this in hopes that it motivates me to work harder and create more content, because I honestly love doing that, even if I don't always prioritize it. I also hope that if you're a blogger and you relate to this, it helps you find motivation too! Spring Break is next week, and a whole week off from school is just what I need. I'm not sure what my plans are yet, but hopefully I can create some fun content for y'all!

As always, thank you for supporting! :)
