Life Lately Vol. 39

Well, friends... it's been a minute! I've been travelling a bunch (with three more smaller trips in the works!) and life has been crazy busy. I have so much to share with you - in fact, I'm doing a Life Update video on YouTube today! Grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and see what I've been up to lately!

Also, side note - I've decided to stop writing Link Love posts for the time being. Although they are some of my most popular posts, I don't ever look forward to writing them or publishing them. Maybe they'll reappear in the future, but for now I want to focus on publishing content that I get excited about.

I actually got back from Hawaii last week! It was such an amazing vacation, and I have a full blog post coming soon. It's taking me forever to write because we did so much during our time there, but I can't wait for you to read it!
My life has been great lately, but unfortunately, whenever there's a rose, there's always a thorn. That thorn is currently my phone. It doesn't work at all - random lines are all over the screen, and the touch screen is nonresponsive. It's to the point where I can't use it at all. However, my sweet sister has been nice enough to let me use hers so I can still be active on social media! Hopefully I can either get it fixed or buy a new one soon... but we'll see. It stopped working while I was in Hawaii, and I must say, it was kind of nice to unplug and just soak it all in.

4th of July was a lot of fun! My family does the same thing every year - I love all of our traditions. We went to a parade, made 7 layer dip and these yummy blondies, had a water balloon fight, swam, and watched fireworks. You can see my 4th of July vlog here!
I've been eating ice cream more than I'd care to admit lately. I realized the other day that I had eaten nine different flavors of ice cream in the past week #whoops. Of course, for National Ice Cream Day, I had to celebrate. My family and I went to Howdy Homemade, because we'd been wanting to try it! Their ice cream was really delicious, and I love that they employ people with special needs and raise money for special needs awareness.

I also spent a lot of my free time watching the World Cup. I was really hoping Belgium would win, but France played really well so I'm glad they won. I always love the World Cup because my dad, sister, and I go out to eat so it's a good excuse to try different restaurants (plus I'm always down to watch 4+ hours of soccer per day).

Also, the Nordstrom Sale just opened up to the public today! I have my eye on this sweater, but that's about it. I've put together a bunch of finds in this post - go check it out! My top pick would have to be the wubby that's on sale for only $50. I wore mine all last winter and loved it. They also have this coat and this coat, which are similar to this one I wore here. I'm really hoping these teddy bear coats are still going to be a trend this winter!

What have you been up to lately?
