It's finally summer!! My last day of school was this past Wednesday, and as much as I enjoyed sophomore year, I am so glad to be done with it. This past month has been a crazy busy one - we've had no homework in school and since my friends have their licenses, we've been hanging out nonstop!

For Mother's Day, we went to Magnolia Avenue in Fort Worth. We did a little shopping, then ate dinner at La Zona, a Spanish pizza place with the cutest atmosphere.

After dinner we headed to my favorite ice cream place everrrrr, MELT Ice Creams. They have the best flavors (you can taste how fresh and high-quality they are!) and their waffle cones are to die for.

My favorite jewelry brand, James Avery, invited me to a private shopping event in Dallas a couple weeks ago. I picked out this gorgeous rose ring and I've worn it almost every day since! I love wearing dainty rings on my fingers - I wear the new rose one on my left pinky, and then on my right hand I wear this bow one on my ring finger & a simple band with this turtle charm on my pinky.
After the James Avery event, my family and I went to try a new taco place, Velvet Taco, and ohhhhh my gosh. You guys know that I love tacos, and I'd have to say that this place has the best tacos in Dallas. I got a chicken taco with pico, which was good, but what really stole the show was their chicken & waffles taco. I can't even put into words how amazing it was - crispy chicken, sweet honey, and a waffled tortilla. SO GOOD.
My school soccer team does a get-together every spring where we go bowling and play arcade games. I had so much fun and I enjoyed getting to meet some of the incoming freshmen - I feel like we're going to have a really great team next year!
I've talked a lot about my journey to find the perfect chocolate chip cookies... and I think I may have found them! The secret? Mexican vanilla. I still have a couple small tweaks that I want to try, but we made cookies last weekend and they turned out so amazing.
Over Memorial Day weekend, we went to try a new ice cream place called Sweet Firefly. They had so many amazing flavors (this is my sister's mint chocolate chip, and I got the salted caramel) and their ice cream was the perfect remedy for the 90 degree heat that day.
I literally only had to be at school for a couple hours in the afternoon on Tuesday & Wednesday last week, so my mom and I grabbed coffee at one of our favorite places (Great Harvest) and went shopping!

Yesterday, for the first official day of summer, I went to Shake Shack with my mom and sisters. Shake Shack has the best fries (they're especially good when dipped in a cookies&cream shake!)
On the agenda for this weekend: I've got a end-of-season soccer pool party tonight, then I get to spend all of this weekend at my sister's soccer tournament (but it's okay because there's an ice cream place right by the tournament field... because my whole life revolves around food).
