As I mentioned in my last blog post, I spent all of last week having fun in the sunshine state! My dad, sister, and I went to Disney World for a couple days, then drove to Clearwater to spend some time at the beach!
I'm super Type A and typically I'm that person who makes a Google Doc with a detailed itinerary of where to go, what to eat, etc, but this time... I just kind of went with the flow, and it was kind of nice. It's probably the first vacation I've been on since I was twelve where I didn't have a laid-out plan of what we were doing, and it made for such a fun, spontaneous trip. This post is going to reflect that in a way - typically my travel posts are super organized into categories or a day-by-day recap, but in this post I'm just going to share some of my highlights from the trip! Enjoy!

Our first stop after landing in Tampa was brunch at Oxford Exchange, aka Danielle Carolan's favorite restaurant! It is a half-bookstore-half-restaurant, and the entire building is absolutely gorgeous!
I got the kale scramble and it was so good! Probably the only healthy meal I had all week haha.
Annabelle, got the Nutella babka which was amazing. If you go to Oxford Exchange, you must get this.

Our hotel in Tampa had a dock that overlooked the bay... here's my reaction to seeing a fish flying out of the water :)

After brunch in Tampa we drove thirty minutes to Clearwater for a little beach fun! My mom got me these fun pineapple sunglasses and I wore them nonstop the whole trip :)
Post-beach dinner at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill! All the restaurants in Clearwater had the most amazing fresh fish! My dad and I split this grouper sandwich + fries.

On Monday we drove to Orlando and hung by the pool at our resort for most of the day.
On Tuesday, we went to Disney Springs for a little shopping! They have lots of stores there (Francesca's, Zara, Anthropologie, American Threads, to name a few) and some great restaurants, too!
Annabelle and I love crepes, so of course we had to get crepes for lunch (very healthy)! I got a banana + caramel, and Annabelle got a Nutella + strawberry.

On Wednesday, we went to Celebration, a quaint Disney-owned town with so many colorful buildings! It is probably the closest thing to a utopia I've ever seen, and it was fun to drive around and see the cute houses and buildings (even their fire station is picturesque!).

We had lunch at Market Street Diner and we had the best Nutella milkshake for dessert! (Also yes I changed shirts haha... it's a guarantee that I will spill food if I'm wearing white).
For dinner that night we drove into the city and I had what I describe as the happiest meal I've ever had. Not necessarily the best, but the meal that made me the most happy. We went to Teak's Neighborhood Grill, a restaurant that specializes in unique burgers, and I got the chicken & waffle sandwich. Fried chicken + ghost pepper cheese + a sweet waffle + syrup + fries... what's not to love?!

Thursday was Disney day one! We went to Magic Kingdom, and had a jam-packed day full of rides, good food, and more!
Friday was Disney day two - Epcot this time! I hadn't been to Epcot before, but I loved it. It was less crowded than Magic Kingdom, had some really cool rides, and you can walk through different areas of the park that resemble different countries, which I thought was so cool.
"School bread" in Norway! Each country in Epcot had authentic cuisine, and we tried a bunch of unique things. This was a sweet roll with vanilla custard and coconut flakes - so good!!
Ice cream in France... because it was $2 cheaper than gelato in Italy haha. I got salted caramel, my favorite kind!

On Saturday, we drove back to Clearwater and spent all day at the beach! It was a gorgeous day and just what I needed after an exhausting (albeit fun) two days at Disney.
Ice cream after a long, hot beach day! I got cookie dough, my second favorite!
Our last dinner... but we ended on a high note with some amazing grouper at Salty's! (and fries of course)
