HAPPY FRIDAY & welcome back to another Eats Lately post! I love writing these because looking at all the good food I ate makes me so happy :)

A couple weeks ago, my friend Eleanor and I went to a TCU soccer game and we got dessert at Melt Ice Creams afterwards! Literally my favorite ice cream in all of Texas... I highly recommend the cookie crack :)

A Nektar smoothie bar opened near me and I am so excited because I love their acai bowls! They handed out free smoothies on the day of their grand opening--this one is the pink flamingo.
One of my favorite parts about fall is all the pumpkin food! My favorite cafe, Black Walnut, released their new fall menu with pumpkin spice lattes & pumpkin pancakes so of course my mom and I went for brunch one Sunday!
When we toured SMU a few weeks ago, we got dessert at Society Bakery! They have the best cupcakes ever--you can tell all the desserts are made from scratch because they just have that homemade feel. My favorite is the Italian Cream!
My dad and I went to dinner one evening at Malai Kitchen! I had their pad thai with shrimp and it was amazing.
In 6th grade, my history teacher offered extra credit to anyone who went to a local Greek festival. Fast forward 5 years... and my family is still going to the Greek festival every year! We always get pita + hummus and a baklava sundae for dessert!
I went to the state fair last month, and of course I had to try one of the most quintessential fair foods: funnel cake. I'm definitely not a big fan of fried foods, but I thought this was really good!
My art class went on a field trip a few weeks ago and we ate lunch at Klyde Warren park, a huge park in downtown Dallas with lots of food trucks. I opted to get ice cream for lunch when I saw the Baldo's food truck, because they have the best salted caramel ice cream ever!
I had a late start last week so Mia and I went to get coffee at Buon Giorno! I always get a latte with almond milk + caramel syrup.
I rarely show the food I make at home, because I always forget to take pictures of it, but I want to start sharing some of the healthy meals I eat to balance out the unhealthy! Soy chorizo (from Trader Joe's) is one of my new obsessions. I made vegan chili with it a couple weeks ago (I used this recipe) and the next morning, I made eggs with the leftover chorizo and topped them with cheese, avocado, and loads of other veggies.
For my stepdad's birthday last Monday, we made this chocolate coca-cola cake from Southern Living. I love how it turned out--the coca-cola gave it some extra flavor and the icing was sooo good.
Have a great weekend!
