About Me

blissful
(adj.) extremely happy, full of joy

I'm Brooke, the girl behind Blissfully Brooke. Welcome to my little corner of the world - I'm so glad you've stumbled across my blog!

// THE GIRL //

I'm currently 16 years old, and I live in Dallas, Texas. Here's everything you need to know about me in 27 words: I love writing and photography (obviously... that's why I have a blog), I play soccer and love to run, I couldn't live without food (especially ice cream), and my faith is the most important thing to me.

I also love adventure. I love to travel, and I have a whole list of places I want to go. In my free time, I'm constantly going new places. I love to take trips to our local farmer's market, go shopping in our town square, and walk around places such as parks and botanical gardens. I try to live by the quote, "The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." There's so much to see in this great big world of ours, and I want to see it all! I view the opportunity to travel as an incredible gift, and I try to take advantage of every minute I get to spend exploring.

On the weekends, you'll usually find me shopping; this is a fashion blog, after all. I'm all for big department stores, but I love supporting local shops and I buy most of my clothes from small boutiques near me. I'd define my style as a combination of classy and trendy: my wardrobe consists of simple silhouettes and feminine colors, but I love pairing them with fun, trendy pieces too.

If I'm not shopping, chances are I'm at the soccer fields (between playing soccer and refereeing five-year-olds, I spend my weekends there), at the grocery store (grocery shopping is one of my favorite activites) or spending time with my friends and family.

If you want to know more about me, here are ten random facts about me!

// THE STORY //

I started this blog in 2015 as a creative summer project, but it quickly morphed into so much more than that. Soon after starting my blog, I discovered an entire community full of so many amazing creators and brands. I've gotten so many incredible opportunities through this blog, and I've had the privilege to work with so many amazing people! Originally called Live The Prep Life, I rebranded to Blissfully Brooke later because I felt that name fit me better. In February 2017, I began a YouTube channel so I could create even more content and expand my platform even further. I can't wait to see what the future has in in store for Blissfully Brooke!

// THE PURPOSE //

At the beginning of this post, I shared the definition of the word blissful. It means extremely happy, full of joy; that's how I try to live my life every day. I try to find the joy in every little thing, the good and the bad, and I hope my posts bring a little bit of joy into your daily life.

My mission through sharing my outfits is to show girls everywhere how to create cute, trendy outfits on a reasonable budget, because I know it's not exactly realistic to buy $50 graphic tees and $100 jeans when you're a teen without a steady income. The main focus of my blog is fashion, but my true goal lies beyond the clothes I share. I believe that clothes are not just items you wear, but instead, ways to express yourself uniquely and creatively, and I hope to instill that message in everyone who reads this blog. I know that the right outfit allows you to feel confident and empowered, and I hope to help every girl not only find their style, but also affordably achieve it. Lastly, I hope that if nothing else, I can brighten your day, that when you finish reading a blog post, you leave feeling a little bit happier and a little more inspired than you did before.

Thank you for reading, supporting, & following, - this blog would not be possible without you!
