4th of July Outfit Ideas On A Budget

Since the 4th of July is right around the corner, I thought this week would be the perfect opportunity to share some patriotic outfit inspiration! The 4th of July is such a fun holiday, and there are so many fun activities to do like participating in parades, going to see fireworks, or going on a weekend trip. Today, I'm collaborating with Olivia from Miss Olivia Says to bring you 4th of July outfit ideas that would be perfect for those activities. If you're anything like me, chances are you won't be spending $300 for a patriotic dress from Shopbop, so these outfits will make you and your wallet happy!

This outfit is my favorite of all of them. I dress very casually, and since Texas gets very hot in the summer, tank tops and Nike shorts are my go-to. I'm probably going to be wearing this outfit for the Fourth. I scored this top for $10 a few months ago at one of Lauren James' sales, but you can find similar tank tops here and this particular one in navy on Poshmark here. The Lauren James tank tops run quite large, but I love the way they look and feel when paired with some simple shorts and Converse.

When I saw this top at Old Navy, I knew it would be the perfect casual summer top to throw on over swimsuits or wear with jean shorts and Converse. It can be worn for the 4th of July, but it can be worn all summer long. It's incredibly comfortable and soft, and it's such a great deal, too (as are all of Old Navy's clothes)! I wore it with these jean shorts (they're a great deal too!) and added my Converse, some casual jewelry, and this baseball cap for a pop of color!

This third and final outfit is the dressiest of them all, but it's still on the casual side and can be worn many different places. Although it's red, white, and blue, it doesn't have to be worn exclusively for the Fourth of July. I purchased this dress from my favorite store, Francesca's, and I believe it was around $40. However, Francesca's is usually having a sale - in fact, they're having a Buy One Get One 50% off sale right now, so if you're looking for a cute top or dress for the Fourth, go look at Francesca's!
