Link Love Vol. 8

Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope y'all are having a great week so far. This week is Spirit Week at my school, which is a lot of fun. I'll be sharing some more details and a few pictures of that in my next installment of Life Lately, so be on the lookout for that!

This Link Love post is long overdue, so I'm thrilled to finally be sharing it with y'all. I've read so many fun blog posts lately, and I know y'all will love them too. These posts are some of my most popular blog posts, so I'm excited to start writing them again.

Flannel Friday

Flannel (Not available, similar here) // Vest (featured in this post) // Jeans // Boots (similar) // Necklace

I have been loving flannels lately! They are the perfect piece for fall, and can be styled so many different ways - with vests, sweaters, or simply by themselves. I recently purchased this navy and red plaid shirt, and I'm obsessed with it! Flannels look so cute when paired with riding boots and dark jeans, but they're really nice since they're not too heavy and thick, like sweaters. Since it's still about 70 degrees in Texas, I love wearing lightweight flannels that aren't too hot for the Texas temperatures.

Make sure you check out my blog post on my fall essentials! This flannel isn't featured in it, but my vest and boots are, as well as some of my other must-haves for the season.

How do you like to style flannels? Let me know by leaving a comment!

Life Lately Vol. 8

It's crazy to think that it's been a couple months since my last installment of Life Lately. I never meant to stop doing it, but school and extracurricular activities kind of got in the way. However, now that I've gotten in a consistent routine, I'm excited to begin writing Life Lately posts again. Keep reading to see what I've been up to lately!

Pumpkin Patch // Now that it's October, the pumpkin patch near me is now open. I went earlier this week with my friends, and I went yesterday with my mom and sisters. I have had so much fun going through the corn maze, picking out pumpkins, and of course, taking pictures! Make sure you're following me on Instagram so you see all of my fall pictures!

Netflix // I lied a little bit earlier when I said that I've been busy with school and extracurricular activities. Yes, my afternoons are consumed by homework and soccer, but I've also been watching Gilmore Girls like crazy. A few of my friends told me about it, so I started watching it. I fell in love with it, and now I'm trying to catch up before the Gilmore Girls revival. If you haven't watched Gilmore Girls, I highly recommend it!

Refereeing // I recently became a referee for my local soccer association (one of my goals on my 101 in 1001 list)! I really enjoy refereeing little boys and girls - they're adorable, and it's so fun getting to see them play. I'm putting most of the money in a savings account, but the money I make allows me to do a little extra shopping, too! :) I just bought this Kendra Scott necklace, and I can't wait to wear it.

Unplugging // Last week, my phone stopped working. It was a couple days before I was able to go to the Apple Store and get it fixed, which is why I haven't been that active on social media lately. This post was supposed to go up a few days ago, but I wasn't able to take pictures for the post until I got my phone back. While I was very stressed about not having a phone, this incident gave me the opportunity to unplug and knock a few items off my to-do list. I never realized how much time I spent on my phone until now, but this event allowed me to take a nice break from technology. That being said, I'm very glad to have my phone back!

Thanks so much for reading! Make sure you check out my most recent post, and leave a comment letting me know what you've been up to lately! I love to hear from y'all!

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

Striped Top // Rain Boots // Shep Shirt// Nail Polish // Phone Case // Lipstick // Purse // Bracelet // Running Shoes

Happy Wednesday! Since October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it's the perfect time to wear pink and support a great cause. Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite pink items with y'all. These Hunter Boots are such a cute color, and they would look amazing with the striped shirt. I'm in love with this Vineyard Vines pullover, and it matches the nail polish and phone case perfectly.

I'm wearing pink every Wednesday this month (because on Wednesdays we wear pink, duh) and I encourage you to do the same!

What are your favorite pink items?

September Favorites

It's so hard to believe that it's already October! It's finally starting to feel like fall, which makes me so happy. I'm so excited to start decorating pumpkins and wearing fall outfits. Halloween is only about 25 days away, which means Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, too! I'm so excited for the fall holidays, and I'm also excited to show y'all a few things I've been loving this month.

Jadelynn Brooke Shorts // I got these shorts at the end of the summer, and I've been wearing them a ton lately. They're perfect for pairing with a t-shirt and Converse, since they're as comfortable as Nike shorts but a lot cuter. I have the Pink Gingham pair, but the shorts come in tons of different prints and colors. My personal favorites are the Pink Foil Dots and the Navy White Anchors. If you buy a pair of shorts from them, you can use my discount code BBHS16 for 15% off. They also have really cute t-shirts to match the shorts, like this one. I just got it for my birthday and I'm in love with it!

Kendra Scott Elton Bracelet // I got this bracelet for my birthday, and I love it! I didn't have any gold bracelets before this one, and I'm so glad I have it. It adds a little something extra to every outfit, and it matches my Elisa necklace so I can wear the two pieces together.

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Body Butter // Trader Joe's has the best pumpkin items of all time, from their pumpkin bread mix and pumpkin cheesecake, to their autumn salsa and pumpkin chips. Seriously - if you haven't been to Trader Joe's in the fall, you must go. I'm obsessed with all of their food items (because who doesn't love pumpkin flavored everything?) but I've also been loving this pumpkin scented lotion I picked up from there recently. It makes my hands so smooth, and it smells amazing!

Lilly Pulitzer Wristlet // I've had the same Vera Bradley wristlet for three years now, and it's beginning to fall apart. I bought this wristlet at the After Party Sale back in August, and it finally came in mid September! It's bigger than my old wristlet, which means I have more room for money, my phone, and whatever else I want to keep in there. This wristlet is perfect for days when I don't feel like carrying a purse around. I love the print, too. You can't buy it in the pattern I have, since I bought it on sale, but Lilly Pulitzer has it in tons of other cute prints.
