November Favorites

How is it possible that tomorrow is already December first?! Maybe it's because I had a week off of school for Thanksgiving Break, but this month really flew by fast. I didn't do that much shopping this past month, but nonetheless, I have quite the compilation of items to show y'all.

Me Before You // I know I'm pretty late to the bandwagon on this one, but my friend Ryleigh has nothing but good things to say about this book, so I knew I had to pick this up when I saw it at the library! I read this book in the car on the way to Waco, and it was so good! I forgot to take a picture of it before I returned it, but I picked up the sequel so I thought I would share a picture of that. I haven't started reading it yet, but I have high hopes!

Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life // If y'all didn't know, I'm obsessed with the show Gilmore Girls. This month, new episodes were released on Netflix, and I binge-watched them instantly. I think that all four episodes turned out perfectly, and I'm anxious to see what happens next. I'm crossing my fingers that there's another season or that Rory's book gets published.

Jadelynn Brooke T-Shirt // Jadelynn Brooke is my favorite place to get t-shirts! I just got a couple new ones, and this one is my favorite! I'm a huge fan of Gilmore Girls (which you could probably already tell), so I bought it the second it came out. I have been wearing it non-stop lately, and you can use my code BBHS16 for 15% off your order so you can get this shirt and we can be twins!

Vanilla Snowflake Candle // I know that I featured a Bath & Body Works candle in last month's edition of favorites, but that was a fall candle, and this is a winter candle, so it's totally fine, right? I got this candle at Bath and Body Works on Black Friday (it was actually the only think I bought on Black Friday) and I absolutely love the smell of it! It smells like winter rolled up into one little candle, and I love lighting it while I do my homework or watch Netflix.

Nine West Jarrad Boots // I have been looking for the perfect pair of taupe ankle boots for the longest time. I was so excited when I stumbled upon these on Amazon, of all places. I haven't worn them yet, but I have so many plans for these shoes and can't wait to style them. Y'all will probably see them featured in upcoming outfit posts!

I hope y'all had a great November and I'm wishing you all a very merry December! Leave a comment letting me know what you have been loving lately.

Life Lately Vol. 10

Happy Black Friday! I hope all of you had an amazing Thanksgiving filled with fun, family, and food! I've really enjoyed having this whole week off from school, and I'm loving the fact that today I can finally decorate for Christmas while I shop the Black Friday sales and eat some leftover chocolate pecan pie (my favorite kind of pie).

The Holiday Shop // First of all, I'm so excited to introduce the holiday shop! You can access it by click this link here, or you can simply click on it where it says "The Holiday Shop" below my blog title. The Holiday Shop showcases my top picks for this holiday season, whether you're giving a gift to a loved one or just want to splurge on something for yourself. I've included clothes, shoes, accessories, and more, so make sure you go check it out! A lot of the products I've linked are also on sale today, since it's Black Friday, so it's the perfect time to pick out some gifts. I'll be updating this page throughout the next month, so make sure you check back often for more products.

Gilmore Girls // GUYS. The Gilmore Girls revival is finally here and I'm so excited. There's only four episodes in the series, which is somewhat sad, but I'm thrilled nonetheless. I woke up early this morning to watch the first episode, and I'm in love with it. You have got to go watch it if you haven't already! (P.S. you can get 15% off the shirt I'm wearing if you use the code BBHS16 when checking out at Jadelynn Brooke!)

Waco // I'm only going to touch on this briefly, since I wrote a separate post on my trip to Waco & Magnolia Market, but I wanted to mention it again! My family and I kicked off Thanksgiving Break by heading down to Waco, which is where Magnolia Market is located. Magnolia Market is owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines, the stars of HGTV's Fixer Upper. While there were a few unexpected twists in our trip, I still had a lot of fun! Make sure you check out the other post here.

I hope this past week has been a great one for y'all, and I hope y'all have a great start to the holiday season! Happy Belated Thanksgiving & Merry Early Christmas!

A Day At The Silos

I am so glad that it's finally Thanksgiving Break! On Sunday, my family and I took a trip to Waco. Yesterday morning, we went to Magnolia Market - a home design store owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper. This was my third time at the Silos (see my previous post here) and I loved it! All of the decor in the shop is gorgeous, but I also loved walking around, taking pictures, and eating a cupcake at Silos Baking Co.

Cream Sweater // Blanket Scarf c/o (wearing the Red & Tan scarf)// Jeans // Riding Boots (similar)

I purchased this sweater a few weeks ago at Target, and it's become a fall/winter staple for me! I can wear it so many different ways, and it is so cozy. I paired it with the biggest, softest blanket scarf ever, and finished the look off with my riding boots. Not going to lie, I felt like such a basic white girl as I was walking around with my blanket scarf and coffee. I saw at least twenty other girls that were wearing blanket scarves, too, but I can't blame them! A blanket scarf is the perfect fall essential.

We purchased a few small things in the store and also channeled our inner Kate Spade by eating cake (technically cupcakes) for breakfast at the Silos Baking Co. I got the peanut butter cupcake, of course, but everything they had looked so good! I enjoyed walking around and looking at the gardens, too - everything that Chip and Joanna have done with the property looks amazing! They are such a talented couple.

If you're ever near Waco, I definitely recommend taking some time to visit Magnolia Market at the Silos. Waco is such a fun town, and I love going here often!

Do you watch Fixer Upper? Have you ever been to the Silos? What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Let me know by leaving a comment!

Link Love Vol. 9

Happy Friday! This week has been a crazy one, as I'm sure it has for most of y'all. However, I'm not going to talk about the events of this week. Instead, I'm here to brighten your week with a few links I've been loving lately!

Thanksgiving is thirteen days away, and I couldn't be more ready to have a week off of school. I'm looking forward to sleeping in, spending time with my family, and eating good food!

4 // I made these peanut butter cups this week, and they were delicious.

6 // Y'all know I'm obsessed with tassels... so naturally, I love this tasseled dress that PJ wore!

8 // I finally finished Gilmore Girls, and I'm so excited for the revival. Watch the trailer here!

11 // Believe it or not, good things have actually happened this year... read a heartwarming list of them here.

Have a great weekend!

Wishlisted: Christmas 2016

While Christmas may seem like it's a long way away, it's actually approaching quickly - there's only about 40 more days! Today, I'm sharing my Christmas Wishlist with y'all. I don't have that many items to share, but these posts are still some of my most popular posts, so I wanted to share this with y'all. (Make sure to check out my Birthday Wishlist from earlier this year and last year's Christmas Wishlist if you haven't already!)

Please note that I am not trying to brag in any way. I am very thankful for anything I will receive, and I am even more thankful for the people that are giving those gifts!

A Vineyard Vines Shep Shirt is such a staple for winter, but I have yet to own one. However, I fell in love with this pink one when I tried it on in the store. I love the color combination, and I feel like this is such a versatile piece that can be styled so many ways (I love how Lucy styles her shep shirts). Plus, it's on sale!

I've really wanted a camera for a while now. I really enjoy taking pictures for Yearbook at school, and I would love to have a professional camera for personal use, so I could take pictures for blog posts and other various things. An iPhone takes okay pictures, but I feel like it's just not cutting it. I've done a lot of research, and I feel like the Canon Rebel EOS T5 is the best camera for me. I'm also asking for this camera bag and this lens protector to go along with the camera so I can keep it safe.

I also saw this vest at J Crew Factory, and I fell in love with it. I've had my eye on a J Crew vest for a while now, but they're so expensive so I've never been able to bring myself to buy one. However, they go on sale for $50 sometimes, which isn't too bad for a good quality vest. This gingham vest is so unique; I've seen several J Crew dupes at stores such as Belk and Old Navy, but I've never seen a navy gingham vest like this. I can think of so many ways to style this!

I'm only asking for a few things because that's all I really want. There are plenty of things that I can think of that would be nice to have, but they're not things that I need or particularly want. I've never been one to ask for things simply for the sake of asking for them, and I don't intend to start that habit now - it's just not in my nature. Plus, the camera is a quite expensive present, so I wouldn't expect to get anything else if I received that. However, I'd rather ask for the one or two things that I really want than ask for a multitude of things that I don't care that much about.

What are you hoping to receive this Christmas? Let me know by leaving a comment below!

Life Lately Vol. 9

Happy Friday! These past couple weeks have been filled with fun preparation for Halloween. I'm so excited to share some pictures with y'all!

DIY M&M Halloween Costume // Live The Prep Life

Spirit Week // Last week, my school had Spirit Week, complete with fun dress up days! We had days like Pajama Day, Twin Day, and Tacky Tourist Day. For Twin Day, I was an M&M with my friends Ashley and Sarah. We made our own costumes and I love how they turned out!

DIY Monogram Pumpkin // Live The Prep Life

DIY Jadelynn Brooke Pumpkin // Live The Prep Life

Pumpkin Carving // Last Saturday, my family and I decorated pumpkins. I did a monogram (of course) and a Jadelynn Brooke pumpkin (use the code BBHS16 for a discount at Jadelynn Brooke). These pumpkins aren't the best, but I'm proud of how they turned out since I'm not that artistic.

Halloween Cake // Live The Prep Life

Sweet Treats // My mom found this cute Halloween cake pan at Home Goods the other day, so of course we had to make a Halloween cake. I love to bake, and every holiday is the perfect excuse to make some of my favorite sweet treats. This cake was almost too cute to eat!

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to start focusing on Thanksgiving! I am beyond ready for Thanksgiving Break, and I have some fun plans that I can't wait to share with y'all.

October Favorites

For some reason, there were so many things that I loved this past month! I didn't even do that much shopping, but somehow, I have an abundance of favorites that have been piling up.

The Magnolia Story // I am a huge Fixer Upper Fan, so of course I bought this book. It's a very quick read - I read it over the course of a weekend - but it's so good! The book is so well-written, and of course, it's hilarious! Chip and Joanna are the perfect team, and that is really shown in their book. Even if you're not a Fixer Upper fan, I definitely recommend picking up this book!

Madden Girl Brando Sandals // I saw these on clearance at Belk, and I got so excited because they were only $15! I have been wanting a pair of Birkenstocks for a while now, but I never bought them because they were so expensive. However, these shoes look exactly like the Birkenstock Arizona sandals, but I paid a fraction of the price! They're incredibly comfortable, too - they mold to fit your feed exactly and have a thick cushion. If you've been looking for a good pair of Birkenstock dupes, I definitely suggest these.

Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace // This necklace is the perfect statement piece. It goes with almost anything, and it can be styled so many different ways. I especially love wearing this necklace with a plain top, because it completely transforms the outfit! It was a bit pricey, but I know I'll definitely get my use out of it and I had no problem investing in it since I'd had my eye on it for a while.

Pumpkin Cupcake Candle // Earlier this month, Bath & Body Works had a huge candle sale, so naturally, I bought a few! They have the best candles ever, and their fall and winter scents are to die for. I've been burning this Pumpkin Candle a lot lately, and I love how it smells! It always makes me crave actual pumpkin cupcakes, because it smells so sweet! Bath & Body Works is sold out of this candle, but you can buy a very similar one here. I have this one, too, and it smells amazing!

Essie Mochacino Polish // I got this polish last year, and I wore it a ton, but I only recently started wearing it again. It doesn't feel right to wear it in any season but fall. It's such a pretty color, and it looks great with fall-toned outfits. I really like how it has a bit of shimmer to it, too.
