WELCOME TO BLISSFULLY BROOKE - AKA MY NEW BLOG!

It's no secret that my style has changed over the past couple years. It's been a while since I've put on a Lilly Pulitzer dress or a Vineyard Vines t-shirt. While I will always love those brands, they don't fit my style anymore.

I've actually been toying with the idea of a rebrand for a while now. I've loved the blog name Blissfully Brooke, but the website name has been taken. It was listed for sale a few months ago, and I thought about buying it but never got around to it. I waited too long and someone else bought blissfullybrooke.com. When I saw that I missed this opportunity, I was devastated and so mad at myself that I had procrastinated. I randomly checked again last Saturday night, and to my surprise, the name was available! This time, I didn't hesitate to buy the domain name.

A couple lessons learned from that story: if you see something you want, don't hesitate to go for it! Also, if it's meant to be, it will eventually be - just give it time and patience.

Yesterday was an insanely long day trying to get my old blog to redirect to my new one, but I asked y'all on Instagram and I had quite a few responses giving me advice, which really helped me out. (I am still trying to figure out how to redirect all my old blog posts - if you can give me a hand with this, please let me know). I also posted about my new blog name, and the responses I got made me so happy.

I know this may not seem like a big deal, especially if you don't have a blog, but to me it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Three years ago, I gave myself a certain "label," and I just never felt like that label really represented me. Within the first few months of starting my blog, I realized that I loved fashion but I didn't want to exclusively post about that. I wanted to share my other interests, too: food, sports, photography, and more. Now, this new "label" focuses on my life and who I am as a person. It has the ability to grow and evolve alongside me.

With that being said, I don't expect much to change. I will still primarily be a fashion blog and post pictures of my outfits and clothes, but I am also excited to start writing about other things too.

I am so excited for what this next chapter of my life holds, and I hope you are too. As always, thanks for following along. I have said it before, but I will say it again: your support means the world to me.
